Hope in Action

Hope in Action (2016) is a follow up to 2010’s successful Disappointed by Hope, and explores the continued migrant crisis in Malaysia with powerful stories, case studies and through extensive research.  A clarion call to compassion and informed action, the former Ambassador from Malaysia to Canada writes in the foreword that, “[Everyone] should read this book!”
Vision:

  • To publish in English and Mandarin in February or March of 2016
  • To build upon the success of Disappointed by Hope to bring much needed social change to the human rights disasters lived out every day in Malaysia
  • To further support the work of the school, established through DBH, in order to continue serving the urban poor and refugees children in Penang who would otherwise receive no education
