We left the adrenaline rush of Pattaya with its go-go bars and night life to film in the picturesque Thai countryside.  It was a welcome change of scenery.

We took over a primary school tucked away in a forested area and shot scenes that give a look at the hopeful side of the world we’re exploring–aftercare for survivors of the sex trade.

In the film, Singaporean actress Vanessa Toh powerfully gives a face to the survivors of trafficking through her inspiring performance as MAE.

Actress Vanessa Toh

There weren’t many dry eyes on set during her scene work.  Film audiences will be riveted by her gripping portrayal of a young woman who bravely overcomes the obstacles many survivors face.
