Four famous stories of desperate people who meet Jesus for the first time are retold in The Voices of Advent series to help your community experience the miracle of Christmas with renewed wonder.

About the Kooman Brothers
Daniel Kooman
Driven to tell stories that challenge and inspire, Daniel is a co-founder of Unveil Studios. He has traveled to more than 25 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America to document stories and works as a cinematographer, editor and director for Unveil. Filmmaking has become a unique platform for Daniel and his wife Christy to invest in children, empowering orphans in Tanzania and restoring hope to girls trafficked in Thailand. Daniel co-directed She Has A Name and Dream: Find Your Significance with Matthew Kooman, receiving awards for Best Director at international film festivals including Hollywood Divine International and Top Indie Film Awards.
Matthew Kooman
Matthew is a creative entrepreneur who loves producing well crafted films. A co-founder of Unveil Studios, Matt works as a director, editor and producer on many of their projects. Along with his wife Ashlea he also owns Maker House Studio, a creative production house in Red Deer, Alberta, where they facilitate hands on workshops and the operation of Dream Elephants, an educational opportunity for students in Tanzania.
Passionate about the art of telling a good story, from original concept to the screen, Matt’s journey as a filmmaker has taken him inside straw huts in rural Kenya, to squatter pipe-villages in Hyderabad, India. The award winning She Has A Name is Matthew Kooman’s second feature film at the director’s helm. The documentary Series Dream, which follows inspiring stories of people from around the world, is close to his heart as it features his ten year old son and the Dream Elephant Project.
Andrew Kooman
An award-winning writer, Andrew tells stories that challenge and inspire audiences for the page, stage and the screen. A co-founder of Unveil Studios, he also produces projects for Unveil.
Andrew adapted his award-winning stage play She Has A Name to the screen after the play toured Canada and was been produced in the US, including Off-Broadway in New York City. His other plays, including the critically acclaimed We Are the Body, have been produced across Canada and in the United States. Andrew is an official author with the Skit Guys and his faith-friendly work is regularly performed across North America.
Andrew co-executive produced the feature E for Everyone and is a producer on Dream. He is currently developing a new work for Unveil that includes a range of unique scripts: an action adventure set in 1st century Rome, a World War II drama, and a thriller set in the not-too-distant post-pandemic future.
