She Has A Name is an official selection in the 2018 Forest City Film Festival in London, Ontario which runs Oct. 25-28 at venues throughout the city.
In the competition for narrative feature, She Has A Name is screening as the Preview film before opening night.

FEATURE FILMS IN COMPETITION
She Has a Name, filmed in Thailand and written by Andrew Kooman who moved to London five years ago. It’s described as “a riveting fast-paced political thriller” about a lawyer who poses as a john to build a case against a pimp trafficking girls in Thailand and the girl who was forced into prostitution who helps him. This film will be screened Oct. 24 on Preview Night ahead of the festival opening Oct. 25
The Drawer Boy, a film adaptation of Michael Healey’s classic Canadian play, written by Healey and the film’s co-director Arturo Pérez Torres, and co-directed by Aviva Armour-Ostroff. In it, a young theatre actor from Toronto, Miles, arrives at the Huron County home of brothers Angus and Morgan, aging bachelor farmers, to gather stories about rural life for a play. Miles’ involvement in the brothers’ lives leads to life-altering events. Filmed in Huron County, it will be screened Oct. 26 at the Lerner’s Opening Night Bash
Firecrackers, selected for this year’s Toronto International Film Festival and one of four winners of its rising star award. Written and directed by Jasmin Mozaffari, it tells the story of two young people, Lou and Chantal, whose plan to leave their isolated small town and move to the city is thwarted when Chantal is assaulted by a jealous ex-boyfriend and they seek revenge. One of the actors, Callum Thompson, is from London and the film was partially shot in the city and surrounding area.
