We’re excited to share that The Ladder of My Life will be playing at Carnival Cinemas in #RedDeer on June 20 to commemorate #WorldRefugeeDay from 6 – 9 PM.
The film tells the incredible true story of local refugee and former child soldier (and Unveil’s dear friend) Monybany Dau.
Short Synopsis: He survived the war in Sudan, enlisted as a child soldier, lived in a refugee camp in Ethiopia and was shipped to Cuba as a Lost Boy, before starting a new life in Canada. The Ladder of My Life tells the incredible true story of Monybany Minyang Dau, from child soldier to humanitarian.
The film will be screened alongside “Salam Neighbour” which takes audiences for the first time into a Refugee Camp where many refugees from #Syria live.
